Motor Vehicle Accident Claims

If you’ve had an injury on the road and the accident was caused, at least in part, by someone else, we can help.

Motor Vehicle Accident claims can be made for injuries sustained in or associated with a motor vehicle, bus or truck, motorcycle or bicycle, or if struck by one of these as a pedestrian.

In Queensland, the “rego” purchased for each vehicle provides the driver with insurance in the event that the vehicle is involved in an accident and someone is hurt. This means that the insurer is liable to pay, rather than the person driving or riding in the vehicle. Even when someone has forgotten or has failed to pay their vehicle registration or the vehicle is stolen or unidentified, a claim can still be lodged by an injured person, though shorter timeframes may apply for lodging such claims.

The Claims Process

1

Meet to talk about your claim

Participate in a “no obligation” meeting where we’ll discuss your claim and complete any necessary paperwork required to get your claim started, if you decide to proceed.

2

We develop your case

Trust us with your claim whilst we obtain evidence which will help us calculate the amount of compensation you may be entitled to.

3

Settlement Conference

Your claim will proceed to a settlement conference where we’ll attempt to negotiate the finalisation of your claim.

4

Resolution

If not resolved at the settlement conference we’ll initiate court proceedings and resolve your matter down the track by continued negotiation or court judgment, if you decide not to accept an offer of settlement.
